Role Overview

As a Security Officer with Securitas, your role transcends that of a traditional security guard. You will be responsible for safeguarding our clients, their personnel, facilities, and assets while delivering exceptional customer service. Our commitment to providing a secure environment is paramount, and you will play a crucial role in this mission. Your duties will encompass a variety of tasks including surveillance, patrolling, and conducting inspections. Reporting directly to the onsite Supervisor, you will be stationed at a significant site for a prominent client in the defense sector, ensuring that security protocols are upheld to the highest standards.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Reporting to the onsite Supervisor while stationed at a major facility for an international defense and security organization.
  • Playing an essential role in safeguarding sensitive information across various domains including air, maritime, land, and cyber.
  • Providing security for the premises, which includes managing a static guard post and protecting company assets, clients, and employees.
  • Conducting thorough patrols throughout the expansive facility, both internally and externally.
  • Maintaining vigilance to identify and deter any suspicious or threatening behavior, ensuring control until authorities arrive.
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols, documenting and reporting any faults or hazards.
  • Utilizing radios and other security equipment effectively while on duty.
  • Conducting preliminary investigations and providing detailed reports on incidents, suspicious activities, and observations.

Furthermore, your responsibilities as a Security Officer will involve:

  • Collaborating with the onsite Supervisor to ensure compliance with site and business requirements.
  • Playing a pivotal role in protecting critical information and assets for our defense sector client.
  • Executing patrols across the facility to ensure security.
  • Remaining alert to detect and respond to any potential threats.
  • Documenting all safety and security-related incidents accurately.
  • Operating communication devices and other security apparatus as needed.
  • Managing any threatening situations until external assistance arrives.
Essential Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Possession of a current, valid SIA license or willingness to obtain one through Securitas.
  • Must have held British nationality for a minimum of five years due to National Security requirements.
  • Ability to provide valid proof of right to work in the UK and pass security clearance.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to make informed decisions promptly and justify them.
  • Physical fitness to perform walking and foot patrols.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
