Job Summary:

Hernshead Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Structural CAE Simulation Engineer to join our client's CAE & Data Science team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for performing linear and non-linear fatigue and structural simulations for powertrains and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support system analysis projects across internal and customer opportunities, covering a range of battery and powertrain concepts.
  • Perform data processing and analysis, with reporting to internal and customer teams and management.
  • Contribute to the design and development of powertrain components by performing structural simulations, impact analysis, and optimization studies to enhance product performance.
  • FEA simulations in Abaqus and Ls Dyna software to conduct complex finite element analysis for automotive components.
  • Perform linear and non-linear, modal, and transient simulations at powertrain and subsystems level.
  • Present results and recommendations of analysis to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering area (Mechanical, Automotive, Electric/Electronics).
  • Experience in structural CAE simulations for electric powertrains and batteries, model correlation, and validation against test data.
  • Experience in Abaqus and expertise in engineering analysis of mechanical structures and systems.
  • Good knowledge of fatigue, non-linear, and structural simulation.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make clear technical recommendations across multifunctional disciplines.
