Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor

Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is seeking a skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in Middlesbrough, Borough of Middlesbrough.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to support our client, a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer, in ensuring a safe working environment for their employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and assess supplier HSE documentation to ensure compliance with company requirements.
  • Develop and implement HSE strategies, priorities, and improvement plans to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits to evaluate supplier compliance with company HSE requirements.
  • Collaborate with the client's package and fabrication team to ensure effective HSE management and reporting.
  • Provide HSE support and guidance to suppliers and contractors to ensure they meet company HSE standards.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive HSE database to track and analyze HSE performance.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Communicate HSE information and updates to stakeholders through regular reports and meetings.
Requirements
  • Completed IOSH course or NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction to certificate level or similar.
  • Preferable completed NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction to Diploma Level or similar.
  • Recommended five years of relevant experience within mature industrial manufacturing, ideally within fabrication.
  • Recommended ten years of experience within QHSE Management.
  • Experience within Incident investigations and Root Cause Identification.
  • Knowledge of local Health and Safety Regulations required.
  • Valid training required in: Work at Height (e.g. GWO) and First Aid.
  • Valid medical certificate (to fulfil Fabrication Supplier requirements).
  • Ability to write and speak English fluently is a must in addition to the local language (if not in the UK).
  • Personal skills: Good communicator, motivator with a human touch. Good interpersonal skills.
