About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team at Galliford Try in the Devon area. As an Electrical Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for the electrical installation and maintenance of water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping stations, and general industries such as mines and quarrying, environmental agency facilities, and local authority infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the health and safety of yourself and others
  • Carrying out installations and maintenance to the required standard and within the required timeframe
  • Complete site documentation as required
  • Red-lining on site 'Issued for Construction' drawings, marking them 'As-Built'
  • Innovate, providing suggestions and ideas to the Site Supervisor/Manager for improved delivery
  • Check goods delivered to site are supplied as per order
  • Identifying changes to the works information and reporting to the Site Supervisor/Manager
  • Emergency 'call out' fault finding and diagnostics

Requirements:

  • Industrial electrical installation/maintenance background
  • An industry-applicable ONC/NVQ/City & Guilds qualification
  • Demonstrable experience of working within the water and/or wastewater and general industries
  • Testing and Inspection qualification an advantage but not a necessity
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical drawings and schematics
  • 17th Edition wiring regulations
  • Experience on installation of SWA, Tray, Trunking, Plastic Conduit, etc.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation used in the water/general industry
  • ECS, SSSTS, Confined Space Training, EUSR (Clean Water Hygiene). Any training shortfalls will be provided
