Audit Manager

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our team at Clydesdale Bank plc. As a key member of our Internal Audit function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our risk management and control processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a deep understanding of our business areas and build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective audit delivery and risk management.
- Support the development of a relevant and high-quality audit plan for your area, working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver a "best team" approach to audits.
- Lead and deliver audit engagements to agreed quality requirements and timescales, ensuring timely and effective completion of audits.
- Stay up-to-date with external regulations, internal audit best practices, and industry thought leadership to ensure our audit processes remain effective and efficient.
- Promote risk management and control awareness through proactive coaching with stakeholders and development activities within the team.
- Attend relevant committees to stay informed about changes to the control environment.
- Experience in credit risk management, model risk management, financial risk management, or risk management assurance, with a solid understanding of relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and challenge assumptions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant qualifications in risk management, audit, or a related field, such as the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation.
