Mental Health Practitioner - Complex Care Services

Salary: £35,000 - £38,907, depending on experience

Permanent: Full Time/ 40 Hours

Cambian Group, a leading provider of specialist services, is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join their team. The successful candidate will have experience working in residential and CAMHS settings, specifically with Looked After Children, and be familiar with the consultation model.

The role involves assessing and identifying the needs of young people and staff through consultation, training, and reflective practice. The ideal candidate will have a higher-level qualification in a relevant subject, such as counselling or psychotherapy, and experience working with vulnerable young people in a therapeutic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and identify the needs of young people and staff
  • Embed a trauma-informed approach across complex care community residential services
  • Provide consultation, training, and reflective practice to staff
  • Work with young people displaying social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health difficulties

Requirements:

  • Registered with the relevant professional organisation (HCPC, NMC, BACP)
  • Higher-level qualification in a relevant subject
  • Experience working with vulnerable young people in a therapeutic setting
  • Understanding of social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
  • Ability to assess and mitigate risk of young people
