As a Site Financial Operations Specialist, you will serve as the primary Financial Accountant for the Operations team at our Ledbury facility. Your focus will be on enhancing operational performance and efficiency by providing precise and timely financial analysis of variances, overhead expenditures, and capital investments. Key Responsibilities:
The Site Financial Operations Specialist will be responsible for:
- Operational Reporting and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Inventory management from a financial perspective, ensuring robust inventory controls, overseeing stocktake adjustments, and reviewing reconciliations
- Collaborating with the Continuous Improvement Lead to track project savings and validate outcomes
- Reviewing Manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs) in partnership with Sales and Operations teams
- Managing Fixed Assets, Capital Expenditure, and Maintenance spending
- Forecasting and Budgeting responsibilities
- Maintaining effective relationships with Commercial teams to assess the impact of commercial strategies on Operations
- Supporting the Finance Manager in delivering accurate Budgets and Forecasts for Operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to deadlines
- Assisting the Finance Manager with Month-End reviews, projects, and other requirements
- Executing Month-End duties in accordance with the established timetable
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA (part-qualified candidates nearing completion of studies may be considered based on relevant experience)
- Previous experience in a Financial Operations role within a Manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of Manufacturing and Costing processes, including Standard costing
- Proficient knowledge of product costing techniques and Bill of Material management
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial variances to drive business improvements
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel (including financial modeling)
- Excellent analytical skills, with a solid understanding of systems, processes, and workflows, combined with business acumen
