About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Engineer to join our team at Veolia. As a Graduate Engineer, you will play a key role in the maintenance and operation of our Energy Recovery Facility (ERF), working closely with our experienced engineers and technicians to ensure the smooth operation of our plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gaining experience in the organisation and implementation of day-to-day maintenance activities, including the management and documentation of all maintenance activities.
  • Involvement in engineering maintenance projects, including the development of engineering solutions for plant issues and exposure to project management aspects.
  • Supporting the operational aspects of the facility, including the organisation of consumables procurement, identifying waste inputs, and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation.
  • Supporting the commercial teams with operational reports and exposure to contractual issues and customer expectations.
  • Supporting shift teams in the plant operation and learning site safety rules.
  • Involvement in Health, Safety, and Environmental routines and supporting HSE themed project work based on environmental and safety legislation.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Practical outlook to problem-solving.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn new things and develop.
  • An enthusiastic, creative, and solution-oriented thinker.
  • Driver's license (willingness to obtain).
  • Willingness to travel.
