We are looking for an IMI Level 3 certified mechanic for a Permanent position at Thurrock Workshop, with the potential to earn over £60,000 annually, including overtime.
Working Hours: Full-time hours per week (rotating shift pattern; week 1: 06:00 - 14:30, week 2: 11:30 - 20:00). You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays (with a weekday off).

About the Role:
With a fleet exceeding 49,000 vehicles, including traditional fuel and electric models, light commercial vehicles (LCVs), and heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), maintaining our fleet is a collaborative effort. • You will conduct a comprehensive range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair tasks on various vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
• You will utilize your personal toolkit to perform routine maintenance and repairs on light and heavy goods vehicles.
• You will also have access to specialized tools and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
About You:
• Qualified Mechanic: You are fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent) and possess your own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Diverse Vehicle Experience: You have proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, working on a wide range of vehicles, including LCVs and HGVs.
• Valid UK Driving License: You hold a full manual UK driving license, preferably with an HGV license and trailer experience for Heavy technicians.
• High Standards of Work: You take pride in your work and ensure that tasks are completed effectively.
• Flexibility to Meet Service Demands: You are able to work on a flexible shift schedule and are always willing to support your team as needed.
