Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Manager to lead our Quality Improvement initiatives in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to improve patient care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Quality Improvement Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive quality improvement plans to address areas of concern in the Emergency Department.
- Liaise with Project Leads: Collaborate with project leads to ensure the development of robust sub-plans to support quality improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate Improvement Group Meetings: Arrange and facilitate bi-weekly improvement group meetings to discuss progress and address challenges.
- Design and Implement Reporting Framework: Design and implement an exception reporting framework to track and analyze quality improvement data.
- Support Individual Leads: Work with individual leads to ensure actions are being progressed and quality improvement initiatives are on track.
- Update Risk Register: Update the risk register to reflect the risk management approach and mitigation strategies.
- Establish Key Protocols: Identify and support the establishment of key protocols for support.
- Develop Critical Success Factors: Identify a set of key critical success factors against each element of the improvement plan.
- Establish Weekly Meetings: Establish weekly meetings with Emergency Department leads to ensure clarity and focus on improvement initiatives.
- Communicate Progress: Ensure regular updates to the Emergency Department team through attendance at existing meetings and groups.
- Develop Communicative Tools: Develop communicative tools to engage the Emergency Department team.
Essential Experience:
- Band 8 Experience: Experience working on a Band 8 level.
- Time Pressure Experience: Experience working under time pressure.
- Emergency Department Experience: Experience working in an Emergency Department.
- Leadership Experience: Experience leading a team.
- Improvement Plan Experience: Knowledge of implementing an improvement plan.
