Job Title: Security Advisor

ENGINEERINGUK is seeking a highly skilled Security Advisor to join our team. As a Security Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's information assets.

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned security professional with a strong background in information security, risk management, and compliance. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct security risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  2. Develop and implement security controls and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities and threats.
  4. Provide security guidance and support to our employees and stakeholders.
  5. Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and trends, and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
Requirements
  1. Valid SC clearance as a minimum, with the ability to obtain higher clearances if required.
  2. CCP Senior SIRA or equivalent certification, such as CISSP or UK Cyber Security Council Chartership.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security roles.
  4. Demonstrable experience in delivering information risk management and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) services to large and complex organizations.
  5. Excellent understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  6. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
  1. Experience of working with security frameworks and standards, such as NIST 800-53, CIS Top 18 CSC, ISO 27001, etc.
  2. Experience of using security tools and techniques, such as vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, etc.

Please note that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
