With multiple facilities throughout the UK, they specialize in developing private label products for prominent retail brands and supplying essential ingredients to manufacturers across Europe.

Position Responsibilities

As a seasoned Logistics Operations Manager, you will utilize your expertise to ensure optimal service levels are achieved while fostering a motivated and supported team. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including:

  • Formulating supply chain strategies to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Overseeing third-party logistics and external warehousing operations
  • Recruiting, training, and leading a team of approximately 10 in stock management, standard operating procedures, and forecasting
  • Monitoring all inventory records in collaboration with third-party logistics providers, ensuring proper rotation and minimizing stock losses
  • Collaborating closely with various departments across the organization

Required Skills & Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A solid background in food production and successful supply chain management
  • Extensive experience in managing third-party logistics
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Advanced Excel for analysis, forecasting, and reporting
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives
  • A track record of meeting established service levels
