About the Role

XRC Robotics is seeking a highly skilled Robotics Engineer to join our innovative R&D team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating cutting-edge robotics systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement ROS-based systems for autonomy, data collection, mapping, control configurations, telemetry, and GUI development.
  • Implement AI-powered machine vision for hazard identification and automated decision-making.
  • Develop and integrate hardware components, including sensor packages and power electronics.
  • Design and implement communication systems using RC and fiber optic technologies for control and telemetry.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Utilize continuous integration systems to streamline development and deployment processes.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards using tools like Grafana.
  • Work in a Scrum development team to deliver iterative and collaborative development.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in robotics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in building and integrating ROS-based systems.
  • Strong understanding of AI implementation and machine vision technologies.
  • Expertise in hardware integration, including sensors and power electronics.
  • Knowledge of RC and fiber optic communication systems.
  • Experience in front-end development and integrating user interfaces with server-side logic.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration systems.
  • Experience with monitoring and dashboard tools.
  • Experience working with machine vision systems and in a Scrum development team.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in the inspection, security, or defense industries.
  • Knowledge of networking and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with others.
  • A genuine interest in technology development and a keen interest in cutting-edge technologies and their applications.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Experience developing pragmatic solutions and building flexible systems without over-engineering.
