Mould Shop Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mould Shop Operator to support our client's team in Whitstable. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality and efficiency in the production of moulded components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mix and mill mould materials according to detailed process instructions, maintaining batch traceability and ensuring the correct mixture of materials.
  • Operate injection and compression mould machines, including manual loading/unloading of tools and components, and preparation of material slugs.
  • Conduct in-process inspections during production runs to maintain product quality and make necessary adjustments to settings.
  • Carry out post-cure treatment of moulded parts, ensuring correct temperature and times for materials being post-cured.

Requirements:

  • Experience in operating mould machines, preferably in injection and compression moulding.
  • Ability to follow detailed process instructions and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Competency in using various tools and equipment for moulding and trimming.
