Senior Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 7 Sister/Charge Nurse to join our North Manchester Critical Care team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership to the nursing team, contributing to quality, patient experience, and patient safety agendas, and driving forward the trust values.
The Critical Care unit at North Manchester General is a 12-bedded unit that combines both level 2 and level 3 care. The unit provides care for a mix of patients including medical, surgical, and infectious diseases.
As a team, we are committed to delivering the highest standard of care for our patients. The unit encourages and supports staff personal and professional development opportunities.
Main Responsibilities- Provide leadership to the nursing team and contribute to quality, patient experience, and patient safety agendas.
- Participate in internal rotation from days to nights.
- Drive forward the trust values and contribute to the development of the Critical Care unit.

The successful candidate will be required to have:
- Registration with NMC.
- Substantial experience of working at band 6 level managing a team on a shift basis.
- Understanding of Clinical Governance and Health and Safety issues.
- Knowledge of the code of practice in nursing.
- Demonstrate an understanding of HR policies and procedures.
- Recognised post-registration Critical Care Course.
- Evidence of having undertaken relevant further study or training as required for the post.
- Health-related degree or understanding.
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent.
