MSK Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MSK Sonographer to join our team at Healthshare Group. As a key member of our diagnostic services, you will be responsible for providing high-quality ultrasound services to patients, consultants, and clinic teams.

• Provide efficient and effective ultrasound services, working within established policies and processes.
• Report to and support the Lead Sonographer/Senior Operations Manager with the running of the service.
• Ensure an exemplary level of customer service is upheld to patients, consultants, and clinic teams.
• Perform a range of general and specialized examinations, maintaining the highest professional and technical standards.
• Ensure accurate records are maintained in line with policies and procedures.
• Comply with National & Local Infection Control Policies & Procedures.
• Liaise with the Radiologist or referring Consultant in an effective and professional manner.
• Work with minimal supervision or under own initiative.
• Participate in the Quality Assurance Programme in accordance with company policies.
• Follow the Health and Safety at work Act and ensure adherence to Healthshare policies.
• Support Risk Assessments to provide an environment, equipment, and working procedures that is as safe as reasonably practicable for patients and staff.
• Participate in further education in line with the requirements of the Health Professions Council through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and complete appropriate mandatory training in line with company policy.
• Be prepared to vary working hours, as may be necessary, to meet the demands of the service.

• Flexible in approach to work and availability to work.
• BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
• Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered.
• Some post-registration experience.
• Current related professional knowledge.
• Safe use of equipment relevant to the post.
• Maintains a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Portfolio.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work on own initiative.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to duties.
• Good organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload.
• Good IT skills.
• Understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality.
