Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Community Organising Coordinator to join our Local Activism Team at Amnesty International UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting local groups and regional networks across the UK in their campaign activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and Evaluation: You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the campaign activities of local groups and regional networks, analysing impact and reporting progress.
  • Coordinating Check-ins: You will coordinate regular check-ins with local groups and regional networks via phone or in-person to ensure they have the necessary resources to campaign effectively.
  • System Updates: You will review and update internal systems to ensure local groups and regional networks have access to the resources they need to campaign effectively.
  • Training and Guides: You will develop and deliver training sessions, guides, and planning packs to equip activists with the skills and knowledge they need to campaign effectively.

Requirements

  • You will have excellent communication and data management skills.
  • You will be skilled in networking, building and maintaining relationships internally and externally.
  • You will understand the role of activism in Amnesty International UK and be committed to our values of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racism (IDEA).

Benefits

  • You will receive 27 days leave annually (29 after five years), as well as bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time) and 3 wellbeing days.
  • You will be eligible for 2-5% employee pension contributions matched at 6-9%.
