Site Location:
Cheltenham - Hybrid working with 1/2 days WFH

Rate:
£70 per hour via Umbrella (Inside IR35)

Duration: 12 month contract

Role Overview:
This position is responsible for overseeing the quality, timeline, and financial aspects of engineering-related tasks within a New Product Introduction (NPI) initiative. The individual will be accountable for delivering the project scope within the established budget and schedule.

The role involves driving efforts to enhance the efficiency of the Engineering department while collaborating with various functions to ensure effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, and cross-functional initiatives.

The position requires a high degree of operational judgment and autonomy, guided by established professional practices and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive schedule for executing engineering and technology projects.
  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate appropriate resource allocation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of responsibilities while adhering to agreed-upon constraints, including scope, assumptions, risks, and resources.
  • Adapt to changes in a constructive manner by analyzing root causes, identifying effective solutions, and coordinating their implementation.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of best practices and understand how your area integrates with others, while staying informed about technical advancements.
  • Contribute to strategy and policy development as needed.
  • Utilize judgment to address moderately complex tasks or challenges in engineering, operational management, or manufacturing.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced colleagues and lead projects with moderate risks and resource needs.
  • Communicate complex or sensitive information effectively and work towards building consensus.
  • Employ persuasion skills to influence discussions within your area of expertise.

Required Qualifications:
This role necessitates substantial experience in Engineering, Technology, and Project Management, with knowledge equivalent to a Master's degree from an accredited institution.
