Speech and Language Therapist Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in the Outpatient SLT Team. The successful candidate will work in a community clinic in Stockport, providing input to patients in clinics, patients' homes, nursing homes, and hospices.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist assessment and management of swallowing and communication disorders as a result of acquired neurological disorders and acquired brain injury.
- Manage a delegated caseload of patients referred to the service, using evidence-based, patient-centered principles to assess, implement, and evaluate interventions.
- Support and develop the Speech and Language Therapy service and act as a clinical specialist alongside the MDT.
- Provide advice on communication strategies, swallowing, and the use of modified diet and fluid consistencies as required.
- Act as an independent practitioner and be professionally accountable and responsible for aspects of own work.
Requirements:
- Degree-level qualification in Speech and Language Pathology/Therapy.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Postgraduate training and experience in dysphagia.
