**Job Overview**
Exeter City Council is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Waste Operative C1-7.5T Driver to join our team. As a key member of our Waste, Recycling and Fleet service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of waste from households and businesses across the city.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant health and safety guidelines.
- Collect and transport waste from designated collection points, ensuring that all waste is handled and stored in accordance with Council regulations.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks, including cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle's interior and exterior.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, including CPC and digital tachograph training.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
**Requirements**
- Valid C1-7.5T driving license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
