About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Owen Mumford Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Work closely with Process Improvement Engineers to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to prevent repeated maintenance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and company Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Provide support to the Facilities Maintenance Engineer to ensure critical utility supplies are maintained at all times.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3/ONC/HNC qualified or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Working experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment, preferably in the medical, pharma, or food industry.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairing.
  • Working knowledge of current safety regulations and legislation.
  • Ability to demonstrate theoretical knowledge with practical application.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive and able to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
