Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to lead step-change improvements within primary areas of Operations, as well as driving incremental improvements using lean methodology to enhance product quality and boost manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the current engineering and production teams to ensure seamless roll-out of parts and products into production;
  • Ensuring that safety, quality, production, and cost standards are met;
  • Providing weld support, including process development, tooling support, and documentation;
  • Laser and Press support, including process development and tooling support;
  • Supporting other primary areas, such as form tooling, tube bending, and machining fixtures;
  • Specifying and implementing new machinery to support long-range growth plans;
  • Managing and implementing primary area change notes, including setting of standard times and routings;
  • Reviewing for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and implementing Standard Operating Procedures where required;
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce waste within processes and driving continuous improvement;
  • Working closely with the primary team to sustain and improve processes and controls in existing production lines.

**Requirements and Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent required; Mechanical Engineering preferred;
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong understanding of PFMEA, SPC, and Quality Control Techniques;
  • Proficiency in CAD systems, preferably Siemens NX;
  • Ability to work with staff at differing levels and communicate effectively;
  • Good understanding of ISO and OHSAS requirements;
  • Strong customer focus and ability to assess and upgrade procedures and systems;
  • Versatility and self-motivation to work with minimal supervision.
