About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Development Platforms Group at Arm. As a senior engineer, you will play a key role in developing and operating cloud services that enable our partners and customers to adopt and build on our latest designs and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, API-driven cloud services using industry-leading technologies such as AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of cloud services by running cloud infrastructure and implementing DevOps principles.
  • Apply Agile software development lifecycle and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to define service-level objectives and support metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain APIs, web services, and connected databases and stores.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (compiled or interpreted) such as Java, Go, C++, Rust, C#, or Python, preferably in server-side deployments.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs, web services, and connected databases and stores on dynamically scaled cloud infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with common design principles used to build scalable and robust web services.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Practical knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Test-Driven-Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, and Deployment, Containerisation (Docker).
  • Experience with Microservices, REST API, and HATEOAS.
  • Familiarity with Contract-first approach, Version control, and Shift-left testing.
  • Knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes.
