What We Offer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Building Services Engineer to join our dynamic and integral team. As a key member of our MEP building engineering services discipline, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive design and advisory services to clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-planning works, including liaison with our in-house building physics team to provide energy statements, sustainability statements, and early advice on factors influencing low energy design.
  • Concept to detailed working design of all mechanical and electrical building engineering services for end users, developers, and contractors.
  • Monitoring of installation during construction and verifying and validating performance of the finished development through testing and commissioning.
  • Expertise in delivery of projects in a BIM environment, embedding production of calculations and drawings into a common model.
  • Holistic whole life asset cycle consultation services from pre-acquisition surveys, building design, and post-occupancy energy compliance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Technical design background in electrical building services engineering with ability to carry out technical calculations using appropriate technical software.
  • Good knowledge of industry standards (CIBSE guidance) as well as building regulations and appropriate British Standards.
  • Awareness of specific design standards (such as HTM for healthcare, etc.).
  • Strong IT skills in the use of BIM-focused design software, Microsoft Office applications, and AutoCAD.
  • Good degree of technical independence within the field of electrical building services engineering design and project management.
