About the Role
We are a global leader in the research, design, integration, manufacture, certification, and lifetime service of flight control, hydraulic, fuel and inerting, fluid conveyance, thermal management, lubrication, and pneumatic systems and components for aerospace and other high-technology markets.
We support the world's aircraft and aero engine manufacturers, providing a century of experience and innovation for commercial and military aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated support to the UK composites team involved in the development and manufacture of complex composite aerostructures.
- Perform stress analysis of composite components using FEA software Hyperworks, NASTRAN / PATRAN or ANSYS.
- Knowledge of aerospace stressing methodologies for metallic and composite components and report writing.
- Perform value analysis during the product design phase while optimizing product development costs.
- Provide technical support for new projects and evaluate the requirements.
- Maintain project files and appropriate records of work.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the stress analysis of composite structures.
- Knowledge of aerospace stressing methodologies for metallic and composite structures.
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques for fibre reinforced plastic and thermoplastic materials.
- Experience of dynamic/non-linear stress analysis.
- Experience in F&DT analysis of metallic and composite structures.
