Are you dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of children facing challenges due to Special Educational Needs (SEN) and behavioural difficulties? Teaching Personnel is in search of a compassionate and skilled Support Assistant to join a reputable secondary institution in Crawley. This school is renowned for its commitment to inclusivity and excellence in education, catering to both SEN students and those exhibiting challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group assistance to students with SEN and behavioural challenges.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement customized learning strategies tailored to student needs.
  • Track and document student progress, offering constructive feedback to the educational team regarding specific individuals.
  • Establish and nurture positive relationships with students to promote an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere, aiding their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS clearance & registration with the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Experience with children facing special educational needs and behavioural challenges is highly advantageous.
  • A relevant qualification related to the role (such as SEN training) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students with SEN and behavioural issues.
