Electrical Shift Leader - FM Service Provider

A fantastic opportunity to work for a leading Facilities Management (FM) service provider. Reporting to the on-site lead engineer, the business is looking for a highly experienced Building Services Engineer with a high level of HVAC maintenance knowledge that can follow processes and procedures to deliver Reactive and Planned Maintenance to a prestigious site.

The role will also require the management of Specialist Contractors and communication with the building management team. The role will require 50% of the time to be completing works and 50% managing a small team and communicating with the on-site building management.

You will be required to work 4 on 2 off (Days and nights). In return, the company is offering a competitive salary paying up to £50,000, further training, overtime, and career progression.

Duties
  1. Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive maintenance is carried out to all client assets through operation of Planned Preventative Maintenance System.
  2. Ensure that accurate and comprehensive records are kept pertaining to Health & Safety, Building Compliance, and Quality Assurance.
  3. Ensure that sub-contractors perform to meet the requirements of the contract. Administer sub-contractor work approvals and safe operation while repair or service is carried out on site.
  4. Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, reviewed, and utilised for all tasks (PPM's and reactive) carried out to ensure safe working practices.
  5. Manage the shift team.
  6. Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate, including the utilisation of the shift engineers to ensure the task is suitably completed.
  7. Undertake annual appraisals of your shift engineers.
  8. Ensure the shift team are suitably skilled and trained, and appropriate training plans are drafted and implemented.
  9. City & Guilds - Level 2 & 3.
  10. A proven track record in Building Maintenance working.
  11. Multi-Skilled - Mechanical / Electrical.
  12. Knowledge of UPS / Generators / Power Distribution / HVAC / HV LV etc.
  13. Good Leadership & Management skills.
