We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Technician to join our team at Oracle. As a key member of our mission critical operations team, you will be responsible for delivering technical support and installations in our Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) datacenter.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 24x7 site coverage for Oracle OCI datacenter sites
- Deliver technical support and installations, including break-fix tasks, hardware, network, cabling, and rack deployments
- Prioritize ticketing queues, resolve escalations, and clear blocking issues to enable continued delivery of technician activities
- Work within a ticket-based environment, using provided tools for proper and timely internal reporting
- Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware and software
- Support the deployment of on-site data center physical infrastructure, including structured cabling installation
- Install, replace, and troubleshoot cables and hardware
- Collaborate with other technical teams and non-technical teams to resolve customer problems and provide technical solutions
- British passport required for security clearance eligibility
- 7x24-hours commitment to participate in the regional standby rotation program and shift
- Ability to reach the datacenter site within 60 minutes
- Solid knowledge of fiber and copper cabling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
