Job Opportunity: Health and Safety Manager

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a leading food manufacturing business based in Suffolk to find a skilled Health and Safety Manager. The ideal candidate will champion and lead the H&S agenda across the operation, influencing at all levels within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Proactively plan, organize, and manage a comprehensive risk management and loss prevention program to protect the business and its employees from exposure to risks that could have adverse consequences
* Work closely with regulatory bodies, reporting incidents and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
* Develop and review risk assessments, ensuring all staff are suitably trained for tasks being carried out
* Conduct regular EHS inspections, promoting a culture of safety and encouraging staff to report near misses and hazards

Requirements:

* IOSH Managing Safety and NEBOSH qualified or equivalent
* Previous experience in Health and Safety legislation
* Background in FMCG manufacturing, preferably food manufacturing
* Strong communication and influencing skills
