Job Title: SEN Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Tutor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As an SEN Tutor, you will work with children with special educational needs, providing one-to-one support and guidance outside of mainstream schools.

About the Role:

This SEN role involves working with children and providing educational sessions face-to-face, either at their homes or a local area. You will need to plan resources around the child's needs, focusing on developing their learning in Maths and English. Additionally, you will be responsible for keeping the child engaged with tasks and managing and implementing a range of behaviour strategies.

Requirements:
  • A relevant teaching qualification (QTS or at least a minimum of two years teaching experience)
  • Experience working with SEN/SEMH
  • Able to assess and plan tuition sessions
  • Enthusiastic, engaging, and resilient
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children in a tuition capacity
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour
  • Good understanding of Special Educational Needs or a willingness to learn
