Job Description

Tennial Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Warehouse Operative to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Team Leader in managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Warehouse Team Leader in managing the warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to customer KPIs and service level agreements.
  • Deputise for the Warehouse Team Leader in their absence and ensure staff are aware of expectations and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with all employees at all levels, including hauliers and warehouse operatives.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Motivate and engage with warehouse operatives and stock control teams to ensure efficient operations.
  • Assist in other areas of the operation as required, using your skills and capabilities to support the team.
  • Ensure all unplanned absences are reported to the Warehouse Team Leader in accordance with absence reporting procedures.
  • Ensure punctuality and attendance, advising the Warehouse Team Leader of any issues.
  • Support the wider team by continuously improving your skills and knowledge, feeding back to the Warehouse Team Leader on training and mentoring opportunities.
  • Ensure the safekeeping of all company assets under your control, including security passes, equipment, and personal property.
Requirements:
  • Full Counterbalance Fork Lift Licence
  • Experience in warehousing and logistics
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to deal with customers and manage relationships
