About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organised and numerate individual to join our team as a Trainee Accounts Assistant. As a key member of our Pensions Administration Department, you will be responsible for providing accounting services to our clients and their members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate client bank accounts with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Update and maintain client data to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Raise beneficiary and third-party payments in a timely and efficient manner
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
  • Liaise with banks to verify payments and resolve any discrepancies
  • Provide exceptional customer service to colleagues, partners, and clients via phone or other communication methods
  • Produce quarterly income and expenditure reports to inform business decisions
  • Assist with the installation of new clients onto our accounting system
  • Support accountants with audits to ensure timely publication of accounts
  • Contribute to ad-hoc team projects as required
Requirements
  • Education to A level or degree level
  • Numerate, accurate, and detail-oriented with a strong understanding of financial concepts
  • Initiative and common sense to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and clients
  • Well-organised with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
  • Intermediate-level Excel skills to analyse and present data
