About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our facility near Wrexham. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for executing mechanical activities on-site, diagnosing breakdown faults, and ensuring equipment is properly maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute mechanical activities on-site as directed by the engineering manager
  • Diagnose breakdown faults in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process systems
  • Ensure equipment, materials, and tools are available for work execution
  • Report resources and time utilized, job scope expansion, rework, or deferred maintenance as required
  • Provide technical support for machine breakdowns and changeovers
Requirements
  • Apprentice-trained to ONC / HNC / C&G Level 3
  • Able to read hydraulics / pneumatics circuits
  • Read and produce mechanical drawings
  • Carried out PPM on mechanical equipment
  • TPM / 6S / Continuous Improvement / Lean experience
  • Electrical and mechanical ability essential
  • Complex problem-solving and fault-finding experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work and learn independently
