Specialist Mechanical Equipment Technician

The Royal Air Force is seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Technician to ensure the operational readiness of our specialized airfield support machinery. The role encompasses a variety of essential tasks, including:
- Performing maintenance and repairs on ground power units, hydraulic systems, and environmental control devices
- Conducting tests and repairs on airfield safety systems
- Inspecting, maintaining, and servicing specialized support vehicles utilized in airfield operations
Educational Qualifications:
- GCSE grade C/4 or Scottish National 5 grade C in English, Mathematics, and an approved Science or Technology subject
- Level 3 Qualification in a mechanical engineering field, accompanied by relevant hands-on experience
Candidate Requirements:
- Aged between 16 and 47 years
- Must hold citizenship in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, or possess Commonwealth citizenship
- Willingness to commit to a minimum of three years following specialized training
