We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our team as a Functional Assessor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing individuals and determining how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life.
Using your clinical expertise, you will conduct thorough assessments, taking into account each person's medical history and performing physical examinations. Your reports will be concise and accurate, providing valuable insights for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to make informed decisions about benefits.
This role involves interacting with individuals face-to-face and via telephone/video, requiring sensitivity, compassion, and excellent communication skills. You will be expected to uphold best practice standards and maintain a high level of professionalism throughout your work.
Requirements- An NMC Level 1 Registered Adult Nurse with a minimum of 12 months broad-based clinical post-registration experience within the past 5 years.
- Experience of working with adults in a range of clinical situations, including surgical, medical, A&E, community, and practice nursing.
- NMC-registered with Continuous Professional Development on your CV.
- IT skills and experience of using a range of software.
- Self-aware and focused on professional development.
- Motivated to contribute to quality customer service, demonstrating empathy, respect, and sensitivity in assessment delivery.
