Specialist Teacher

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified teacher to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. as a Specialist Teacher for a long-term position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the education and welfare of pupils with complex needs, including PMLD, SLD, and MALD, with an EHCP.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans to meet the needs of pupils with complex needs.
- Work collaboratively with the pastoral and safeguarding team to ensure the well-being and safety of all pupils.
- Act as a line manager to a class team, including performance management and staff development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the National Curriculum for pupils with complex needs.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Manage pupil behavior and support pupils during learning activities, acting as a role model.
- Promote teamwork, share good practice, and support colleagues to ensure high-quality education and care for all pupils.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- At least 2 years teaching experience within either mainstream or specialist environments
- Excellent understanding of the UK curriculum and special education
- Strong knowledge of how to support individual needs and promote inclusion
- Ability to plan and mark engaging lessons that cater to students' individual needs
