Transport Planner Opportunity

We are working with a family-run 3PL business seeking to expand their transport team due to new contract wins. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality services to clients, resulting in several new contracts this year to distribute throughout the UK.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Transport Planner to join a team of experienced planners working on tanker contracts. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel in communication and analysis, this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize existing and potential contracts through network analysis.
  • Identify and implement projects to improve transport operation efficiency and quality.
  • Plan for the entire UK network.
  • Support business development by winning and onboarding new contracts.
  • Adjust routes and communicate with all parties.
  • Act as a secondary point of contact for clients and drivers.
  • Produce tachograph analysis and reports on transport efficiencies for directors.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of transport planning experience.
  • Experience in tankers is ideal.
  • Knowledge of manual transport planning.
  • Excellent UK geographical transport knowledge.
  • Ability to commute daily to Grantham.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Significant understanding of road logistics.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills.
  • Very computer literate.
  • Ambition and ability to work at a higher level.
