A leading care group, renowned for its high-quality residential and nursing care, is seeking an experienced Payroll Professional to join their Inverness office as a Deputy Payroll Manager. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, in compliance with statutory requirements and accounting policies.

As a Deputy Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the operational processes that enable team members to focus on providing exceptional care to residents. Your expertise in payroll and accounting systems will be invaluable in implementing and developing robust procedures to ensure seamless wage, tax, expenses, and benefits processing.

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5h) role that offers a comprehensive rewards package and opportunities for professional growth. The company is committed to the wellbeing of its employees and residents, and this role is a key part of that commitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the processing of large volume payrolls and produce accurate reports.
  • Implement and develop robust payroll procedures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure seamless wage, tax, expenses, and benefits processing.
  • Provide expert advice on payroll and accounting systems to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements:

  • Accredited payroll qualification (IPPE/CIPP certificate or higher).
  • Excellent professional knowledge of payroll and accounting systems.
  • Previous experience processing large volume payrolls and producing reports.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
