Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic team at Primary Care Management Solutions Ltd.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients. The role will involve assisting clinicians in providing patient care, running clinics, and performing administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clinicians in providing patient care, including taking blood pressure, temperature, and pulse measurements.
  • Run clinics, including chronic disease management and minor surgery clinics.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including filing and record-keeping.
  • Provide reception cover, including answering the telephone and responding to patient queries.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Literate and able to perform basic numerical calculations.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to accurately receive, record, and relay information both verbally and written.
  • Ability to store and retrieve files from numerical, alphabetical, and computerised filing systems.
  • Computer skills, including working with the EMIS Web clinical system.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and organise delegated work.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Candidates with both clerical and healthcare support experience will be at an advantage.
  • Experience of dealing with the public face-to-face and over the telephone.
  • Fluent in one or more languages in the local community and willingness to use this skill in working with the public.
  • Reception experience.
Working Hours
