Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our Estates Operational Maintenance team. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors within our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair a variety of building elements, including fire doors, locks and security systems, roofing, leaks, minor developments, windows, and other associated building skills.
  • Accurately mark out and construct structures based on drawings and plans.
  • Adhere to current building regulations and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the site operational management staff to ensure the smooth functioning of engineering services, buildings, grounds, and gardens.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • HND/HNC level or NVQ level 3 plus relevant experience or post-apprenticeship training.
  • Craft Certificate (essential).
  • Advanced Craft Certificate (desirable).
  • Time-Served Apprenticeship or equivalent experience (essential).
  • Experience working within a hospital setting (desirable).

Language Skills

While English is the primary language of communication, Welsh speaking skills are highly valued. The ability to communicate in Welsh at Level 1 or above is desirable.
