Technical Support Specialist | Permanent Position | Competitive Salary
**Eligibility for Security Clearance Required**
We are seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist to act as the primary contact for all technical inquiries through various communication channels.
This role involves shift work with hours from 08:00 to 16:00 or 10:00 to 18:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first-level assistance through phone, email, or the IT service portal, ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction.
- Address and resolve technical challenges, focusing on user support within a Windows environment, including assistance with both third-party and proprietary applications (training will be provided).
- Oversee the administration of the IT support desk, which includes managing orders, liaising with external suppliers, tracking assets, and generating reports as needed.
- Facilitate the onboarding, transition, and offboarding processes, managing all hardware and software requirements, and handling account creation, modification, and deactivation.
- Maintain the asset management database, providing support to the IT Service Desk Manager by identifying asset details, conducting reporting analysis, and updating essential IT asset records.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a technical support environment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting network-related issues.
- Experience with Active Directory and Office 365 support.
- Familiarity with PC and laptop configuration technologies.
- Knowledge of desktop security measures, including antivirus and anti-malware solutions.
- Experience managing Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and Windows 11.
- Basic understanding of ITIL v3 or v4 is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively are essential.
