Position Overview

Ellern Mede Group is actively seeking dedicated and skilled Clinical Nurse Specialists (RMN/RNLD) to become integral members of our healthcare team.

We are in search of professionals who are passionate about providing exceptional care to individuals with specialized eating disorders. Our organization prides itself on maintaining a higher staff-to-patient ratio than any other UK provider in this field, allowing our multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized and attentive care to each patient.

Working Hours

  • Day Shift: 7:45 AM - 8:15 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:45 PM - 8:15 AM

We offer flexible working hours, including options for 23 hours per week and additional hours as needed.

Compensation Package

We provide competitive salary packages to attract top talent, with salaries determined by experience:

  • Staff Nurse: £35,000 - £38,500*
  • Senior Staff Nurse: £39,000 - £42,000*
  • Charge Nurse Equivalent: £43,000*

*Salary calculations are based on weekly working hours.

Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses the following duties:

  • Function as a proficient practitioner and role model in delivering therapeutic care and treatment to young individuals and their families, under the guidance of senior nursing staff and consultant psychiatrists.
  • Exhibit creativity, empathy, and respect towards young patients and their families at all times.
  • Actively seek and incorporate the views and opinions of young patients to foster collaborative planning and delivery of family-centered care.
  • Coordinate with families to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Serve as an associate/key worker for young patients, participating in family and review meetings as necessary.
  • Engage in the planning, execution, and assessment of nursing care plans and treatment decision-making processes.
  • Maintain a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for all young patients and their families, ensuring that both internal and external physical settings are organized and developmentally appropriate.

  • RMN or RNLD NMC registered or currently pursuing a degree in nursing.

Essential

  • Registered Nurse Qualification or currently studying towards NMC registration (final year of University - 3rd year of MH/LD qualification).

Desirable

  • Relevant first degree, ENB 998, ENB 603.

  • Inpatient CAMHS nursing experience, particularly with patients suffering from eating disorders.
