We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Aspire People. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in a variety of educational settings across Lichfield and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with special educational needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Use positive reinforcement techniques and behavior-based instruction to encourage positive behavior and academic achievement.
  • Support the teacher in the classroom, including marking and delivering lessons, to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 in Childhood Studies or a Teaching Assistant course.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Additional SEN training certificates, such as MAPA, Makaton, or Team Teach, are highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special needs and a commitment to their well-being and education.
