Job Overview

Randstad CPE is seeking a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join our client's team in Sheffield and East Yorkshire. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing various retail sites across the region.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks within allocated timeframes to ensure optimal system performance.
  2. Specialize in commercial combustion, heating, and HVAC systems, handling both planned and reactive maintenance.
  3. Undertake other building services tasks, including fabric maintenance, HVAC, mechanical work, and related duties.
  4. Provide on-call support as part of the callout rota to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  5. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of plant rooms, workshops, and storage areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  6. Carry out new installations and perform major and minor repairs to heating systems, including diagnosing and repairing faults in systems and equipment.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
  1. Experience in reactive maintenance and a strong understanding of commercial gas systems.
  2. Core Safety Certification: COCN1.
  3. Commercial Gas Certifications: TPCP1A, ICPN1, CORT1, CIGA1.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. Domestic Gas Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT1, CPA1, ICAE1.
  2. Competent installation skills and a valid UK Driving Licence (maximum of 6 points).
