Job Summary:

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a highly skilled Software and Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical recruitment agency, you will be responsible for designing and developing software aspects of machinery for a pharmaceutical manufacturer based in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain PLC, HMI Software, and SCADA systems.
  • Confer with engineers, customers, and other stakeholders to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
  • Direct and coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
  • Supervise and train project team members as necessary.
  • Investigate customer complaints, determine the nature and extent of the problem, and recommend remedial measures.
  • Provide IQ/OQ support on site (occasional).

Requirements:

  • Software Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with WinCC and SCADA systems.
  • Proficiency in TIA Portal, Ladder Logic, PLC, and HMI.
  • Knowledge of Siemens S7.
  • Scripting skills (VB/C, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Office.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Remuneration:

£55k-65k dependent on experience. Hybrid available. Early finish Fridays.
