We are seeking a talented Medical Writer to join our Medical Strategy & Education team. As a Medical Writer, you will have the opportunity to write well-crafted, scientifically sound and strategic deliverables for clients with guidance and support from more senior writers.

We are looking for ambitious PhD candidates who have a talent for writing and capable of communicating complex science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates scientific and creative content within timelines and budget, ensuring the high quality, scientific accuracy, creativity and integrity of own work
  • Develops a good understanding of assigned therapy areas and proactively remains up to date with emerging trends and advances in the field
  • Undertakes fact and reference checking of other's work to ensure accuracy and validity of content
  • Interacts directly with clients on content developed
  • Provides research and content support for new business initiatives as needed
  • Develops a good understanding of the relevant codes of practice and ensures compliance in content development

Requirements:

  • PhD in the life sciences
  • Transferrable experience from academia or a non-medical communications environment, OR the ability to write compelling medically and/or scientifically orientated content
  • Assimilation, interpretation and effective re-communication of medical/scientific topic
  • Confident verbal communication around medical/scientific topics
