About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Sales and Business Development Director to join our team at Kenyon International Emergency Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and business development strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify commercial opportunities and create detailed business plans.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Lead the sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, marketing, and finance, to develop and implement commercial strategies.
  • Manage and develop commercial teams to deliver success and meet targets.
  • Responsible for leading service delivery, commercial planning, business development, customer relationship, finance, and sales team management.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years in commercial (sales, marketing, and BD) management experience.
  • A strong commercial background and evidence of successfully managing, developing, and growing commercial teams to deliver success and meet targets.
  • Experience of writing, presenting, and implementing sales strategies.
  • Resident within a commutable distance of Bracknell.
  • Experience working with various departments, such as operations, marketing, and finance, to develop and implement commercial strategies.
  • Experience of market research to aid decision making and strategic planning.
  • Experience of client relationship management and growing client base/bottom line.
  • An ability and willingness to occasionally travel nationally and internationally.
  • Proficient in planning, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Experience of a CRM – salesforce would be advantageous.
  • A detailed understanding and execution of formal commercial documents, including tender frameworks and stages, proposals, work agreements, contracts, invoicing, and credit control.
  • IT skills – Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
  • An understanding of, or experience in, crisis management, emergency planning, or incident response is desirable but not essential.
