Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Strategist to join our dynamic commercial finance team at a FTSE 100 Listed Multinational company in Nottingham. As a key member of the team, you will provide vital financial support and collaborate with senior stakeholders to advance the transformation agenda.

About the Role:

As a Commercial Finance Partner, you will play a key role in shaping and influencing decision-making, evaluating large-scale business changes, and ensuring that all decisions are grounded in sound commercial insight and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer robust financial guidance on strategic, cross-functional initiatives with a 3-5 year outlook to help shape the future direction of the business.
  • Oversee the financial approval process for large-scale, multi-year business investments and programs.
  • Implement a schedule of post-investment appraisals and project tracking to assess performance against business cases.
  • Ensure that the overall transformation program balances near-term and long-term goals, aligning closely with the organization's risk appetite.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with over three years of post-qualification experience, preferably in commercial retail or FMCG roles.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills, with the ability to drive change and manage processes effectively.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with an understanding of investment appraisal methodologies.
