Senior Ecologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Ecologist to join our team at Penguin Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Ecologist, you will be responsible for leading ecology-focused projects and steering ecological and ornithological elements within larger multidisciplinary initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Take charge of ecology-focused projects, ensuring top-notch Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA) and detailed standalone assessments.
  • Hands-On Surveys: Conduct and oversee ecological surveys, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Expert Reporting: Write and review in-depth ecology assessment reports and technical chapters that set the standard for excellence.
  • Licensing Expertise: Manage and prepare protected species licence applications with precision.
  • Business Growth: Contribute to business growth by building client relationships, attending networking events, and making your mark at conferences.
Requirements:
  • Experienced Professional: You bring a strong background in ecology, with significant experience in project management, ecological surveys, and technical report writing.
  • Technical Knowledge: You have in-depth knowledge of UK ecology and conservation legislation, particularly in relation to protected species and habitats.
