Job Title: Shift Engineer

Forbo Movement Systems is seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join our team. As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant, including maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, procedures, and regulations.
  • Plant Equipment: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Projects: Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and implement process improvements and capital investment projects.
  • Site Security: Ensure the site is secure during weekends, shutdowns, and out-of-hours working.
  • Contractors: Work with contractors and specialists to plan and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Engineering Processes: Maintain accurate records, create and review Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs), and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Communication: Provide clear updates to the engineering team and participate in relevant meetings.
Requirements:
  • Time-served mechanical biased maintenance engineer.
  • Practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a process-oriented environment.
  • Fault finding and root cause analysis experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly as required.
  • Experience with IT packages such as Microsoft and CMMS.
